Gold Panda Coins
The 1 oz Gold Chinese Panda Coin was first released in 1982. The design changed annually, with once exception in 2002, when the coin followed the previous year’s design. These 1 oz coins were produced until 2016, at which point they were replaced by the new 30 g weight.
The reverse design always featured the iconic giant panda, while the obverse showed the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. The product details below are printed in Chinese characters on the coin.
